How to "sell" the use of iPad

I am piloting a 1:1 ipad program in my classroom this year. After my back to school night, where I presented the program and how I would use the ipads, some parents were hesitant. Some parents were concerned that their child would not be using a paper and pencil anymore. How do I "sell" the use of iPads in my classroom? How do I convine parents that this is the way of the future? How do I reassure them that we are strengthening their skills and creativity?
