As an advocate of Educational Technology I'm constantly asked by colleagues (who haven't yet seen the light!), Whats the big deal about Edtech? This usually occurs in the hallway on the way to class; therefore, jumping into a tirade of why, what, how etc. is not feasible. Nonetheless, I think it is important to have the ability to describe our sentiments about the topic in one to two sentences;
Therefore:
If some one were to ask you, "In one sentence, why do you feel it is important to introduce Educational technology to your classroom?" What would you say?

You have to point out to them ways they are already integrating tech into their classroom. For example, sharing websites to show kids stuff, even if it is just a picture of something. I would say, you are already on the right track, how about if I show you some other ways you can use technology to help you teach. Don't force them to "learn technology". Use their curriculum and integrate some sort of tech to make it easier to teach. That is what I am trying to do this year.
