I have attended ISTE, formerly NECC, conference each year for the past 10 years.  Even if you just go to walk around the trade show, it is extremely valuable.  I have found that I get more out of the…Continue

I have attended this conference for the past few years. It is most worthwhile. Can get over whelming as there is so much being offered. Good idea to review the guide before getting there and have an idea of the speakers you wish to hear and the sessions you wish to attend.

In previous years I have attended the NECC Conference which has been renamed the ISTE Conference. Best to choose a select number of sessions that you are least knowledgeable and then spend most of your time in the Exhibit Hall. You'll learn the most there, but use the Iste Planner and strategically layout a plan.

Will be there Monday for the day, maybe we'll run into each other.

I attended ISTE last year. It is very overwhelming. Make sure to get to session rooms early as they fill up fast and then you are left "out in the hall" not going to session you wanted to go to. Wear very comfortable shoes. Just for the trade show alone, which is tremendous. I am interested in getting kosher food...maybe we can work something out.

I just attended the FETC (Florida Educational Technology Conference) in the Orlando Jan 23-25.  I am told that that FETC is the other BIG EDTech conference that takes place each year.

To put it into perspective...there were over 8000 attedees from 26 countries including representation from almost every state in the US. There were 223 sessions available to all atendees and 128 paid workshops.

At the opening session which was dubbed an "App-shootout" the 900 seat room had no standing-room left and approx 2600 wireless devices were accessing the wifi in that room for the 90 min session.

The key to these conferences is to plan before you go.  What sessions, what tracks and even how you plan on traversing the exhibit hall floor.

This was my 2nd year attending and it was yet-again an enormously productive educational endeavor for me.I anticipate that ISTE will be a similar experience.

For those of you attending ISTE, be sure to come on over to the Jewish Educators Birds of A Feather meetup on Monday, June 25,  5:30pm-6:45pm PDT, San Diego Convention Center, Building/Room: SDCC 5.

Great opportunity to network and share with other educators in Jewish settings! Wish I could be there in person - but definitely there in spirit!
