Blog about Technology Integration

This past year I was fortunate to take a course in technology integrationin education.I cannot believe how much I have learned. Things that used to be foreign and daunting to me are now part of my every day language and use.The fact that this course was geared to educators made it very appealing to me. I now have a wealth of knowledge to be used in the classroom,as well as a wealth of ideas from other educators.I know that with technology that is always evolving I will be learning all the time,…See More

EdTech assignment on podacsts

I completed an EdTech assignment on Podcasts. It was a lesson an introduction to a lesson of Venahfocu on Purim. I used Voicethread & found it very easy to navigate. If I encountered a problem it was quickly resolved by pressing on the "help" button. The podcasts are useful in that instead of just receiving written work for review or as a lesson, the student has a recording of the teacher's…See More

Learning about WebQuests

For the EdTech course I am taking, I found a Judaic Studies lesson plan on the Lookstein website. The lesson I chose was a Chanukah Mystery Webquest for grades 3-5. I found it to be a very good lesson and was inspired to find out more and learn about WebQuests.  Once I learn more about them, to try and create my own lessons. I found a website that includes a tutorial on how to create a WebQuest, a rubric of what should be included in a good Web Quest,  and other WebQuest resources (among other…See More
