Idea for blogging in the Judaic elementary school classroom

I teach second grade Judaic studies Ivrit b'Ivrit. I have not used a blog with my class just yet.I have created a personal blog for the EdTechtechnology course that I am taking.

I think good use for a blog in my classroomwould be to convey to the parents any  special activities or lessons that already happened or will be happenong in the classroom.(This would be in addition to the bi-weekly newsletter).  Parents could view this with their children and comment on what they read, or ask questions.
