The philosophy in my middle school where i serve as the menahel , is "everything is a learning opportunity". So when it comes to technology and specifically ipads the approach is to teach and to show students the potential of how this field can help them as students. My school has not yet decided to invest in ipads, yet as they become more and more popular both in society and in the knapsacks of our students it is incumbent on the school to teach the students how they can be used in the classroom. I would hold off for now on moving full speed ahead with purchasing ipads for all students as the following articles tell us that the jury is still out on whether ipads increase higher level learning.

Yet, I would reccommend that my school invest in a cart of 25 ipads and use them so that over the course of the coming year every student will be able to experience how they operate. is it possible that in two years my school will decide to invest in ipads for all students? Yes, it's posible. For now, however, the best plan of action is to continue to educate students not entertain them.
