My Technology Journey

When I sit back and reflect upon the year I am really amazed with how much I learned about technology.  We had a major change at my school.  The students would no longer go to computer class.  The computer teacher became the tech integrator and the teachers were charged with the task of integrating technology in authentic ways into their curriculum.  Although I am not the tech director (I am the lower school director), I had to take charge and lead by example.  Taking this class has allowed me to do just that.  I have been able to learn and experiment with new technologies and bring them to my teachers.  Google Docs and Wikis have made a significant impact on the work that my faculty is doing.  All of our curriculum maps are now Google Docs and it has made the process so much easier.  I know that I need to continue to explore the technology that I was introduced to in this course.  I had just a sampling of it and in order to have my teachers use it effectively I need to understand it better.  So, on my summer to do list I have added technology exploration.
